Hi, I’m Aurora. I’m a photographer and model in Denver, Colorado. After experiencing some challenges as a model, I started reaching out to other creatives to figure out how to address these issues. The knowledge I gained felt important and practical, so I created this site to share it. As someone who works on both sides of the lens, I hope models, photographers, and other industry professionals find this helpful. I’ve learned a lot about the tools we have and what’s still missing.
Restorative action driven by the needs of survivors—along with community resources to address root causes of harm—is the dream. I’m passionate about creating a framework for this, and a few friends and I have discussed the potential for Model Safety Workshops, to engage in dialogue, education, and the active creation of safe spaces in our community.
Additionally, another friend and I have been exploring the idea of a mutual aid app, where survivors can safely and anonymously discuss their experiences and take collective action to strengthen their community. With my growing understanding of Web3 models, I’m hopeful this could be a reality soon. Recently, I met a talented young developer who has done just that! Her site is called Zuvivor and she is seeking partners to launch the app. I’m excited to learn more about restorative justice, blockchain technology, and mutual aid networks, and how they can intersect to give us powerful tools.
Please feel free to reach out with questions or suggestions for resources to add to the site—I’d love to hear from you!
